Ketmen mountain range is located south-east of Kazakhstan and share the border with China. It has always been away from the popular tourist's routes. This fact helps to keep its surroundings untouched and unspoiled. Here, in the altitude of 3000 m, in alpine zone, you can find an old soviet coal field that was active in 1930's. In the summer, you meet the meadows full of flowers on one side of the mountain range and at the same time the remains of the spring snow can be found on the other. Ketmen range is also a very nice spot to observe the most beautiful of Tian Shan mountains, including Khan Tengri peak.

6:30 – 11:30 Almaty to Ketmen village transfer
11:30 – 12:30 Ketmen village to shepherd's yurt transfer
12:30 – 13:30 Lunch
13:30 – 16:30 Horseback ride to the mountain cabin
16:30 – 17:00 Cabin check in
17:00 – 19:00 Hike around
19:00 – 20:00 Dinner
20:00 – free time
Day 2.
5:00 – 6:00 Wild life observation (optional)
8:00 – 9:00 Breakfast
9:00 – 13:00 Horseback ride to the top of the mountain range
13:00 – 14:00 Lunch
14:00 – 18:00 Horseback ride to the cabin
18:00 – 19:00 Sauna
19:00 – 20:00 Dinner
